Extended Deadline for Matching Gifts to Community Relief Fund
The Community Relief Fund provides crucial assistance to families facing eviction, utility shut-off, expensive prescriptions and little or no food on the shelves.
The fund was created by United Way specifically to help families in our area, and it has become an incredible portal for the community to give, while ensuring that 100% of their donations go directly out the door to assist our friends and neighbors.
Community Action is proud to be included in this amazing partnership. Thanks to CRF donors, 3,699 families have been kept safe, warm and healthy in their homes. More than 11,000 individuals in Washington County found help. These people would have been turned away without the support that CRF provides. Awesome!
I’m blown away month after month by the generosity of our community when I see the amount of assistance this fund produces. It is truly amazing how one single little initiative can have such a huge impact on so many people, for so long.
It’s even more touching to see the relief and smiles on the faces of families leaving our lobby. :)
Meyer Memorial Trust is taking another huge step up by extending their matching gift deadline. They’ve been behind United Way on this effort since the beginning, and they’re taking the lead once again in changing lives while keeping it local.
Relief in the community goes on. The generosity continues.
Thank you United Way and Meyer Memorial Trust for making it possible.
